Although some forms of hearing loss are completely inevitable as you age, there are many methods that can be done to prevent unnecessary hearing loss. While you’re at your day job or you’re listening to music at the gym, it’s important to be aware of both the signs of hearing loss and the measures you can take to prevent it.

Comprehensive hearing evaluation

After you have filled out the intake form, we will review the information with you. We want to learn what brought you into the office, what type of outcome you may be hoping for, and any pertinent medical history. Then, we will examine your ears and prepare for the hearing evaluation.

You will be seated in a sound booth, and you will wear headphones. We will ask you to respond during the procedure, such as “repeat the words when asked” or “push the button when you hear the beeps.” The evaluation usually takes 20-30 minutes.

We will review the results of the evaluation with you and make recommendations. If you have questions, they will be addressed at this time.

The evaluation appointment usually takes an hour.
